Here's a 7-day travel itinerary from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Breckenridge, Colorado, with 2 days in Denver and 5 days in Breckenridge during the summer:
Day 1: Arrival in Denver
- Arrive at Denver International Airport (DEN).
- Rent a car or take a shuttle to your accommodation in Denver. We always suggest taking a shuttle as Denver and Breckenridge are very walkable cities.
- Spend the afternoon exploring 16th Street Mall, Larimer Square for shopping and historic architecture.
- Enjoy dinner at one of Denver's acclaimed restaurants.
- Overnight in Denver. If you have not already downloaded the Village at Breckenridge app - take a moment to do so before your departure from Denver. The check-in button will not be active until the day of your arrival.
Day 2: Denver Exploration
- Start your day with breakfast at a local cafe, our favorites include: Snooze, Little Owl Coffee, and Blue Sparrow Coffee.
- Visit one of Denver's many attractions: Denver Art Museum, historic Union Station, Denver Zoo or Denver Botanic Gardens.
- Catch a Colorado Rockies game and sit in the "rockpile" to see if can catch a homerun!
- Enjoy dinner in the trendy LoDo (Lower Downtown) neighborhood.
- Overnight in Denver.
Day 3: Travel to Breckenridge
- Check out of your Denver hotel and enjoy the scenic drive through the Rocky Mountains to Breckenridge. Keep an eye out for mountain goats along the way!

Day 4: Outdoor Adventures
- Start your day with breakfast at a cozy cafe in Breckenridge: Daylight Doughnuts or Cool River Coffee House are local favorites.
- Go hiking on one of the many trails in the area: Burrow Trail is right outside your door. Or hit the Sawmill Creek Trail or McCullough Gulch Trail. Keep an eye out for moose!
- Unwind in the evening in the resort-style hot tubs at the Village at Breckenridge and gaze at the stars above.
- Overnight at Bright Haus Condos in Breckenridge.
Day 5: Scenic Exploration
- Have breakfast and grab a coffee to go.
- Rent an e-bike and take the scenic ride to Frisco and rent a kayak or paddleboard to explore Dillon Reservoir.

- Return to Breckenridge and spend the afternoon in the Country Boy Gold Mine learning about Breckenridge's rich history.
- Have dinner at one of Breckenridge's top-rated restaurants.

Day 6: Cultural Immersion
- Start your day with breakfast at a local bakery.
- Visit the Breckenridge Welcome Center to learn about the town's history and attractions.

Day 7: Departure
- Check out of Bright Haus Condos and if you reserved the luggage storage lockers, store your items until 4 p.m. at no charge.
- Enjoy one more scenic hike, coffee, or stroll through Main Street before your departure.
- If time allows before your flight home, stop at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre for a scenic walk before heading to the airport. It is just a short 15 minute detour from the route to the airport.
- Drive back to Denver International Airport (DEN) for your departure flight.
